Adam Mayer, Ph.D.
Adam Mayer is an interdisciplinary social scientist who primarily studies energy transitions. This includes studies of the deployment of natural gas and renewables in the mountain West region of the U.S., and current work on hydropower in Brazil. Adam is interested in understanding the consequences of energy development for host communities, energy justice, energy insecurity, and social identities. His work has been published in journals such as Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences, Global Environmental Change, Energy Policy, Rural Sociology, and many others.
